April 1916

Dear Mother,

I am just dropping you a note to tell you that we have just been informed that we will not be able to write any letters for a while so don’t think anything has happened if you don’t get any news from me. I will write again the minute we are allowed to do so. At present I am enjoying the trip although the weather is very ?

I am quite well, give my love to all

Walter.
